The Norfolk nail salon just past the Virginia Beach line

Fifteen minutes from Aragona and Bayside, twenty-one from Town Center, and worth every one of them.

For the western half of Virginia Beach, we are the close option

Virginia Beach is a big city, and its western neighborhoods sit closer to us than to much of their own oceanfront. From Aragona Village or Bayside, Crystal Nails is about fifteen minutes; from the Shore Drive corridor by Little Creek, closer to twelve; from Town Center, twenty-one on the interstate. Guests from these neighborhoods already treat us as their regular salon, and the drive is shorter than the Saturday parking hunt at a mall.

You will find us on International Blvd in central Norfolk, five minutes from Norfolk International Airport, with free parking directly in front of the door.

What crosses the line with you

The house signature is ombre pink and white, the French-inspired set that asks for real technique, practiced here daily for more than 25 years. The color wall holds more than 500 polishes, Norfolk's largest selection. Dip powder, acrylics, cat-eye gel, and nail art carry the current finishes; pedicures rise through four tiers to the Onsen mineral soak and pearl powder. We also do nails for kids and teens, ages 5 and up.

Walk-in ease, appointment care

Some of Virginia Beach's best-reviewed studios book out days ahead. We keep a different rhythm: doors open at 9:30, six days a week, walk-ins welcome all day, appointments honored promptly. Driving in from the Beach, the courteous move is a quick call first; we will have a chair timed to your arrival, and weekdays before 3 PM you may have the quiet of the salon nearly to yourself.

An honest note

If you live at the Oceanfront or in Sandbridge, we are not your nearest option and will not pretend otherwise. But if your Virginia Beach is Aragona, Bayside, Wesleyan, or the neighborhoods off Northampton and Little Creek, the city line is a formality: we are the salon around the corner.

Closer to the good stuff than you might think

From our chairs, the Norfolk Botanical Garden is 9 minutes away, Ocean View Beach Park is 11, and a Tides game at Harbor Park is 14, which makes an afternoon of it without recrossing the city. The full map of what sits near the salon is on the Hampton Roads page.

Common questions

How far is Crystal Nails from Virginia Beach Town Center?
About 21 minutes on I-264 west and Military Hwy. From the western neighborhoods, Aragona, Bayside, and the Shore Dr corridor near Little Creek, the drive is 12 to 15 minutes, which is often closer than crossing Virginia Beach itself.
Why drive to Norfolk when Virginia Beach has so many salons?
Virginia Beach has excellent salons, and for many visits one of them will suit. Guests cross the line to us for a particular standard: ombre pink and white refined over more than 25 years, a wall of more than 500 colors, and walk-in flexibility without an app or a booking window. If that is the visit you want, we are minutes past the line.
Can I walk in, or should I book?
Both work. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Saturday, and a call to (757) 853-7900 before you drive lets us time your chair to your arrival. Weekdays before about 3 PM are the quietest hours.
Are you close to JEB Little Creek?
Yes, about 12 minutes from the base along E Little Creek Rd. Many guests from the Little Creek side of Virginia Beach reach us faster than salons in their own zip code.
