The salon on the way home
Moyock has grown into one of the busiest commuter towns in the region, and most of its working traffic runs north each morning into Chesapeake and Norfolk. Crystal Nails sits near the far end of that run, minutes off Military Highway in central Norfolk, which makes the visit a stop on a drive you were already making rather than a separate errand.
The salon is family-owned, run for more than 25 years by the owners who still work the floor, with parking directly outside the door.
A fuller menu than the crossroads offers
Close to home, options thin out quickly. Here the menu is complete: dip powder, acrylic sets, ombre pink and white done as a house specialty, cat-eye and hand-painted nail art, and pedicures that climb from a precise regular service to mineral Onsen soaks and pearl powder. The color wall holds more than 500 polishes, Norfolk's largest selection, and we do nails for kids and teens, ages 5 and up.
Timed to the commute
Doors open at 9:30 and the evening runs to 7:30, Monday through Saturday, so a set can happen after work without racing the clock to the state line. Walk-ins are welcome; calling ahead from the road is even better, and your chair will be waiting by the time 168 lets you go.
On the way, not out of the way
